Sea Ray/BIMC - Assembler Fitter Installer at Sea Ray Boats
Position OverviewAs part of the talented AFI team, you will perform a wide variety of tasks in a large boat manufacturing facility. Assembly tasks performed may include gunking, glassing, assembling, fitting, and installing.
Essential Functions- Responsible for installing cabinets, floors, cockpits, benches, and any other installation tasks as assigned.
- Install front‑of‑line interior work with emphasis on final finish elements and cosmetic aspects of the boat.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2–3 years of boat building experience preferred.
- Fitting / installing experience.
- Working knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules.
- Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements proactively.
- Professional interaction with all levels in the organization.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work in a dusty and hot environment.
- Maintain rigorous safety practices and report hazards immediately.
- Understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
- Complete OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test, and wear respirator when required.
- Handle physical demands: lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing for long periods.
- Follow all safety documents, worksite rules, equipment operating instructions, and health and safety requirements.
- Role is located in Merritt Island, FL.
The anticipated pay range is $20‑25/hour. Actual pay offered may vary based on knowledge, skill, experience, business needs, and geographic location. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
