Job Description

BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

The Assembler/ Fitter/ Installer will perform a wide variety of tasks in a large yacht manufacturing facility. Assembly tasks performed may include gunking, glassing, assembling, fitting and installing.

• Responsible for installing Electrical Bilge, Deck, Dash, Finish, cabinets, floors, cockpits, benches, and any other installation tasks as assigned.
• Install the front of the line interior work with emphasis on the final finish elements and cosmetic aspects of the boat.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Education and Experience:
  
  High School diploma or GED
• 2–3 years of boat building experience preferred
• Fitting / Installing experience
• Working knowledge of hand tools
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to Multi-Task
• Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules
• Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive way
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels within the organization
• Ability to work in a dusty and hot environment
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
• Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business

• Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately
• Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated
• Must be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test and wear a respirator where required
• Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job
• Must be able to understand all safety related documents and worksite rules and practices

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.60 to $25.05, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, and location. Brunswick operates with compensation decisions based on the candidate’s qualifications and context.
