Overview
Classic Collision, established in 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia, is committed to quality service with integrity and honesty. We are hiring an Auto Body Technician at our (Fill in Blank) location to join a rapidly growing team.
Responsibilities- Complete vehicle disassembly to assist Collision Estimators in damage assessment and prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
- Identify all necessary repairs to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
- Plan work procedure by following the work order for all operations listed.
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to access damaged areas, storing parts on carts or covers to prevent damage.
- Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits meet industry standards; remove damaged panels and bolts or weld replacement parts, reassembling after painting.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns).
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning the vehicle over to the Paint Dept.
- Repair or replace defective parts.
- Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Comply with all Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety, rules, and guidelines.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
- 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.

- Successful completion of background check required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, talk, and hear; stand, sit, walk, and reach for long periods; occasionally lift up to 20 pounds; and adjust focus for close and peripheral vision.
