Location: Abercanaid

We are representing a reputable, franchise-approved dealership in Merthyr Tydfil seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct service, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Accurately diagnose faults and report findings to the Aftersales Manager
  • Ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance are maintained
  • Adhere to high-quality workmanship and health and safety procedures
  • Responsible for meeting team targets and delivering excellent customer service
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment as a Vehicle Technician
  • Assist with additional tasks as required by the Service Department
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Ideally 1 to 2 years’ post-qualification experience within a workshop environment
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Good team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality work in a fast-paced setting
  • Motivated with a commitment to professional development
  • Experience with hybrid vehicle technology, PSA vehicles, or holding an MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
