What you will doWe’re looking for an experienced Sales Operations Manager to act as the operational backbone of our sales organisation. This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role with no direct line management responsibility. Instead, you’ll work across a geographically distributed sales team, providing structure, insight, and governance that enables the business to forecast accurately, sell effectively, and deliver profitably. If you enjoy owning systems, improving processes, and being trusted as the authority on “what the numbers really say”, this role will suit you well.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Own Microsoft Dynamics 365 as the "source of truth" for the business.
- Enforce rigorous data hygiene standards; ensure all opportunities are accurately staged, dated, and valued.
- Troubleshoot workflows and drive user adoption across the sales team.
- Produce the Weekly Sales Report for Senior Leadership
- Build the data packs and slide decks for Monthly Business Reviews
- Partner closely with Finance to translate pipeline data into:
- Accurate revenue forecasts
- Credible year‑end projections
- Clear commercial insight
- Manage the "Order Intake" process, ensuring all booked deals meet compliance, margin, and documentation standards before handover to delivery.
- Drive efficiency in the proposal process.
- Assist in building quotes and proposals for complex Software, Solutions, and Urban Signage projects.
- Monitor bid governance to ensure we are adhering to internal approval gates.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is essential
- Degree level education desirable but not essential
- At least 3 years sales operations experience
- Experience selling B2G (local authority) would be beneficial, but not essential
- Attention to detail is key
- Having the ability to hold people accountable for adhering to process, without creating conflict, is important
- This role requires someone who not only embraces process, but also enjoys improving and optimising workflows.
As well as providing a competitive salary and benefits package, SWARCO actively runs employee opinion surveys as part of our drive to provide a comfortable and supportive working environment. We will support your development, and you will also receive:
- 25 days holiday with bank holidays in addition + your birthday off
- Employer pension contributions
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Life assurance up to 6× salary
