Role Overview
As a key member of the crewing department, the Crewing Superintendent plays a vital role in ensuring vessels are safely and efficiently manned in full compliance with international regulations, company standards, and client expectations. This is a pivotal position, responsible not only for managing day-to-day crew logistics and planning but also for promoting long‑term career development among seafarers, ensuring the highest standards of operational readiness across the fleet.
The role requires exceptional coordination, communication, and organizational skills, combined with a strong understanding of the maritime crewing landscape.
- Prior seagoing experience as an officer, or a university degree with at least 2 years of experience in maritime recruitment or crew management
- Excellent command of the English language and outstanding interpersonal abilities
- Proven controlling, planning, and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of STCW, MLC, and Flag State requirements
- Ability to manage crew performance, handle travel arrangements, conduct crew changes, and ensure medical, training, and documentation compliance
