Senior Residential Support Worker | Merthyr Tydfil | Full Time | Salary circa £35,000 (inclusive) + Paid Overtime + Pension + Gym Membership

We are a leading provider of Children and Young Persons Residential Services committed to high‑quality, child‑focused care and a professional staff team. Regular supervision, ongoing training and a competency‑based appraisal process support your career growth.
What will your role look like?- Organise and manage shifts to ensure the safety of children, young people, and staff
- Develop, review and implement individual care and pathway plans
- Attend and contribute to meetings such as CLA reviews, education planning and discussions with social workers
- Build positive relationships with young people’s families
- Provide day‑to‑day care, including meal preparation, supervision, laundry, cleaning and social activities
- Maintain accurate records and reports for key young people
- Mentor new staff and promote the ethos of the home
- Act as a positive role model at all times
- Competitive salary circa £35,000 (inclusive)
- Paid overtime at 125% of the contracted hourly rate
- Overtime bonus of £100 for every 50 hours completed
- £50 per night sleep allowance when required
- 224 hours annual leave (28 days)
- Rolling rota (2 days on, 4 days off)

You will hold a QCF Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People and have experience working in a children’s residential setting. A full UK driver’s licence is required. Once settled, you will work with us to create a Personal Development Plan and access tailored training to support your career progression.
