Senior Residential Support Worker | Merthyr Tydfil | Full Time | Salary circa £35,000 (inclusive) + Paid Overtime + Pension + Gym Membership

We are a leading provider of Children and Young Persons Residential Services committed to high‑quality, child‑focused care and a professional staff team. Regular supervision, ongoing training and a competency‑based appraisal process support your career growth.

What will your role look like?
  • Organise and manage shifts to ensure the safety of children, young people, and staff
  • Develop, review and implement individual care and pathway plans
  • Attend and contribute to meetings such as CLA reviews, education planning and discussions with social workers
  • Build positive relationships with young people’s families
  • Provide day‑to‑day care, including meal preparation, supervision, laundry, cleaning and social activities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for key young people
  • Mentor new staff and promote the ethos of the home
  • Act as a positive role model at all times
What can you expect in return?
  • Competitive salary circa £35,000 (inclusive)
  • Paid overtime at 125% of the contracted hourly rate
  • Overtime bonus of £100 for every 50 hours completed
  • £50 per night sleep allowance when required

Are you the right person for the job?

You will hold a QCF Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People and have experience working in a children’s residential setting. A full UK driver’s licence is required.
