Project Engineer – Construction

Equans Data Centers are seeking a Project Engineer – Construction to support our growing Data Centre business in Motherwell.

• Ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
• Coordinate the on‑site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with the plan.
• Support the overall programming and planning of the build.
• Be involved in groundworks and internal fit‑out.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring contracts are delivered in accordance with project agreements and best practice.
• Attend site meetings, communicate effectively and provide information for progress reports.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Provide operational support, including review of procedures, best practices and initiatives.

• Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Proven technical knowledge of the construction industry.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
• Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Strong attention to health and safety matters.
• Commercially astute.
• Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
• Degree or equivalent in Construction Management or a related field.
• Evidence of right to work in the UK.
