Job Overview

Salaried Dental Services is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band A Dentist to join our Community Dental Service (CDS). The role involves providing dental care to vulnerable patient groups across community‑based sites in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board region, including domiciliary care, general anaesthetic and sedation services, assessment clinics, and emergency care.

• Cover all areas of the service across sites, including domiciliary care, general anaesthetic (working outside routine hours), sedation, assessment clinics, and other areas of service provision.
• Provide treatment under general anaesthetic at hospital sites.
• Offer adult special care, paediatrics, domiciliary services, personal dental services and bariatric services within the remit of the Salaried Dental Service.
• Provide emergency care for both registered and non‑registered patients.
• Act as the sole practitioner within dental service premises, making appropriate decisions relating to patient care and the provision of services at the designated site.

• Welsh and English speakers welcome to apply.
• Welsh skills at Level 3 speaking/listening (or B1) are desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience in community dental services or similar settings is preferred.
