Welsh-Speaking Teacher – Primary & Secondary Cover

Are you a passionate Welsh-speaking teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to support and inspire learners?

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh-speaking teachers to provide cover across Welsh-medium primary and secondary schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr, and Caerphilly areas.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of age groups, supporting pupils in their learning and development through the medium of Welsh.

About the Role

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons through the medium of Welsh.

• Provide classroom cover across primary and secondary settings where required.

• Support pupils’ learning across a range of subjects and key stages.

• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities.

• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages confidence, engagement, and participation.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Fluent in Welsh (spoken and written).

• A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

• Confident teaching across different key stages, including both primary and secondary learners.

• Passionate about promoting the Welsh language and culture.

• Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching.

• Able to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

Requirements

Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support for obtaining the following:

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

• Two professional references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
