As a Cover Supervisor in Merthyr Tydfil, you will play a vital role in supporting students  learning and well-being, helping to create a safe and engaging environment for pupils to thrive.

• Supervise students in Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Support teachers with classroom management and behaviour.
• Assist pupils with their learning activities, providing support where needed.
• Maintain a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Adapt to different subjects and age groups as required.
• Promote pupils’ well-being and encourage positive behaviour.

• Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children or in the care sector.
• A keen interest in working with children and young people.
• Open to training and development opportunities.
• Proactive work ethic and a patient, understanding attitude.
• Good understanding of special educational needs.
• Ability to provide a range of support to pupils.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
