SOULBURY POINT A 2‑7 + 3 POSSIBLE SPA. £47,045‑£57,766 per annum pro rata = £37,636‑£46,212.80 + 3 POSSIBLE SPA.
29.6 hours per week (negotiable).
Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of Educational Psychology Services to learners and their families.
- Provide psychological support and advice to preschool, school and post‑16 settings.
- Use psychology to assist Merthyr Tydfil Local Authority in meeting the needs of children and young people and fulfilling the LA’s statutory obligations.
- Assist in the identification of strengths and difficulties of children and young people who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN) within the County Borough, and advise appropriate provision.
- Take a lead role in assisting settings, teachers, parents and other partner agencies with regard to ALN reform.
- Deliver interventions, including therapeutic work and training as needed.
- Assist in research that enables the progressions of positive, evidence‑based practice at all levels within the LA.
- Evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
