Role

Title:

Work Based Learning Practitioner (Assessor) - Business Services: leadership & management

Location: Deeside

Contract Type: Permanent (full time)

Salary: £33,912 – £38,218 per annum

We currently have a vacancy for a Work Based Learning Practitioner in Leadership & Management within Business Services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess Level 2, 3, 4 & 5 Leadership & Management in line with awarding organisation requirements linked to skills and occupational competence.
  • Work with a caseload of learners determined by the college caseload formula.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis for learners, enrol them on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities.
  • Deliver underpinning knowledge sessions to learners either on a 1‑1 basis or in workshops (recommended maximum group size
    8).
  • Monitor learners’ progress towards qualifications, give constructive feedback and guide them to prepare an e‑portfolio of evidence.
  • Assess learner portfolios and present completed portfolios for internal quality assurance.

Essential requirements:

  • A professionally relevant qualification at a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Possess an assessor’s qualification (TAQA).
  • Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above.
  • Proven industry experience within a professionally relevant area.
  • Experience of liaising and partnering with external managers in industry.
  • A demonstration of a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards within education.

Welsh skills are essential for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
