Lecturer in Computing/ICT
Salary Details: Scale: ALS1-4 (£23.41 - £27.64 per hour) - without teaching qualification
MG1-UP1 (£29.82 - £42.84 per hour) - with teaching qualification
Opportunity to progress onto a further scale
Hours of Work: Full Time - 37 hours per week
(Equivalent to 835 annual teaching hours).

Contract Type: Hourly Paid, Fixed Term - 1st September 2026 until 31st December 2026
Qualifications:
- You will hold an appropriate qualification at minimum degree level.
- You will ideally hold a Teaching Qualification (e.g. PGCE). If you do not hold a teaching qualification, Pembrokeshire College will support you in gaining a recognised teaching qualification during your employment, within an agreed timescale.
Experience:
- You will have a wide range of experience in the Computing / IT sector.
- You will possess knowledge of a wide a range of computing subjects as possible, including subjects such as Computer Systems and Architecture, Computer Networking, Security, Database Design, Programming, C#, Python, robotics, AI, Website Design and Development, Data Analytics and/or Cloud Computing.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and passing on their skills and knowledge to computing/ICT students across all levels of provision. You will be an excellent communicator, combined with advanced organisational skills and have the ability to work with people across a broad range of sectors.

All Further Education Lecturers, Further Education Support Workers and Work-based Learning Practitioners in Wales are required to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), prior to commencing employment. This is to be paid for by the individual at a cost of £45 for Further Education Lecturers and Work-based Learning Practitioners and £15 for Further Education Support Workers.
