Are you passionate about supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to achieve their full potential? Do you have a strong background in coordinating holistic care and transition pathways? Are you dedicated to ensuring a positive, learner‑centred experience for young people? If so, we want to hear from you!
This role will play a vital part in ensuring our learners with ALN and additional support needs experience a seamless journey through their college life. You will work within the Inclusion and Progress team alongside the Learning Support and ALN teams, coordinating entry, in‑course, and exit transitions while keeping a sharp focus on learner wellbeing, progress, and statutory plan outcomes. This is a varied role, which will include: managing a caseload of learners, facilitating statutory reviews for IDPs and EHCPs, planning enhanced transition opportunities like campus tours and taster sessions, collaborating with curriculum staff, and building strong relationships with local schools, authorities, and families.
EssentialRequirements
- Professional experience or relevant qualification in education, additional learning needs, youth work, social care, or another relevant area.
- Strong standard of both verbal and written communication, with an absolute commitment to high standards of customer service.
- Experience of working collaboratively within a team to identify, monitor, and meet the diverse needs of young people.
- Clear understanding of statutory plans, including Individual Development Plans (IDPs), Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act (ALNET) legislation.
- Excellent administrative, IT, and data management skills with the ability to maintain accurate, auditable records in line with GDPR.
- Ability to work in a person‑centred way, build strong external multi‑agency partnerships, and maintain a flexible, proactive approach to work across different campuses.
Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
