Learning Support Assistant

What you’ll do

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils,including those with additional learning needs (ALN)

• Assist the class teacher with learning activities, behaviour support, and differentiated tasks

• Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour in line with school policies

• Prepare resources, support with assessments/observations, and contribute to classroom routines

• Foster pupils’ social, emotional, and communication skills

What we’re looking for

• Experience supporting children (school, nursery, youth work, tutoring, sports coaching, or care)

• Understanding of ALN/ASN/SEN strategies (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH) is an advantage

• Calm, patient and proactive approach with strong communication skills

• Reliable, punctual and a team player who uses initiative

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE/NCFE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
