Dry Pump R&D Director

You will build and lead our flagship R&D team in the UK, focused on the next generation of dry vacuum pumps. This role is central to our global technology strategy, leveraging local talent to push the boundaries of performance and reliability.

• Establish and champion world-class R&D methodologies and engineering practices across the global organization, contributing directly to elevating the company's overall innovation capabilities and positioning us as an international technology leader in dry vacuum solutions.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of skilled mechanical and systems engineers.
• Lead projects in rotor dynamics, thermo-fluid simulation, CFD analysis, tribology, and materials science to solve complex engineering challenges.
• Drive the design, development, and validation of new dry pump platforms and core components from concept to production release.
• Work seamlessly with the global R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure project alignment and knowledge transfer.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

• PhD or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 7+ years of progressive R&D experience in rotating machinery, turbo machinery, or precision mechanical systems. Experience with vacuum pumps or semiconductor equipment is a significant advantage.
• Deep expertise in simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, CFX, Solid Works).
• Proven experience in leading and growing a technical R&D team.
