Job Description & How to Apply Below

An exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised, engineering‑led business at the forefront of energy efficiency and power management solutions. With a strong reputation for innovation and supporting critical infrastructure, this company works closely with consultants, contractors, and end users to deliver intelligent systems that optimise energy performance and reduce operational costs.

They are now looking to appoint an Energy Efficiency Sales Engineer to drive specification and project activity across the UK. This is a technically focused, customer‑facing role where you will engage with consultants and end users to influence design decisions, deliver CPD sessions and industry events, and support energy efficiency projects from initial concept through to tender and delivery.

If this is for you, you will play a key role in developing market presence, working with system integrators, supporting regional sales teams with specialist expertise, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of the energy efficiency offering through market insight and customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of product applications, UK market dynamics, and key target segments for energy efficiency solutions.
  • Support the delivery of strategic and commercial objectives, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth in line with company targets.
  • Act as a key link between the UK sales team and global business units, supporting product launches, pricing, and promotions, while providing market, competitor, and customer feedback to senior stakeholders.
  • Consolidate forecasts and activity reports, ensuring clear visibility of performance and pipeline.
  • Drive specification with consultants and end users, manage system integrator programmes, and support tender activity through accurate quotations.
  • Contribute to new product launches, local market strategies, and tailored marketing initiatives, including CPD sessions, events, and trade shows.
  • Provide guidance and support to the wider sales team, helping resolve commercial challenges and strengthen overall performance.
  • Regular travel across the UK, with a strong focus on London and key regional markets.
Requirements
  • Strong experience within IT environments and industrial communication networks.
  • Minimum of five years’ success in selling technical solutions—ideally within measurement, metering, or energy management.
  • A background in electrical, electronic, or software engineering is advantageous, alongside solid knowledge of low‑voltage electrical networks, automation, industrial networks, and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with IT systems, including security, databases, and web technologies, as well as an understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Able to support the UK sales function in driving product performance, maximising revenue and margin, and delivering against company objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong emotional intelligence.
  • Effective time management.
  • Confident presentation ability.
