An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Registered Nurses to join an experienced team caring for both Trauma and Orthopaedic patients, within the Acute Surgical Division. We are looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals, who are able to work in a pressurised ever evolving environment. As of September 2020, Prince Charles Hospital and Ward 8 has been part of the dedicated Trauma network, as the designated Trauma Unit.
Mainduties of the job
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn t need to have skills in Welsh, we ll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.

The post holder will contribute to a 24 hour a day 7 day a week provision of emergency care by providing direct support to the nursing/medical team responsible for patient care and undertake, according to guidelines, policies and procedures, specific interventions for patients as instructed by members of the medical team or the nursing team.
Works unsupervised to established standard operating procedures, supervision is available at when required. Adheres to Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB Policies and Procedures.
