Personal Support Assistant for leisure activities

Provide daily support, care and leisure assistance for a 7‑year‑old boy with global developmental delay, speech and language difficulties, and wheelchair use in Merthyr, Wales.

• Assist with changing clothes and personal care, including nappies.
• Help the child develop confidence and sociability.
• Accompany the boy for swimming sessions at the local leisure centre.
• Support independence while remaining patient and encouraging.
• Transport the child using a foldable wheelchair in a car.

£14.00 per hour – 3 hours per week during termtime and 6 hours per week during school holidays.

• DBS check (to be arranged at no cost to you).
• Background in childcare and additional needs.
• Full UK driver’s licence and ability to operate a car.
• Ability to physically assist a child in a wheelchair.

Full training will be provided in house.

Salary will be paid monthly or fortnightly via BACS. Successful applicants will undergo a three‑month trial period and will be directly employed by the customer.
