School Caretaker

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and site improvements
• Ensure the security and safety of the school site, including unlocking/locking the premises
• Monitor and maintain heating, lighting and other utilities
• Keep the school grounds clean, tidy and well‑presented
• Support with health and safety compliance across the site
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers when required

• Previous experience in a caretaker, site management or maintenance role is desirable
• Good practical skills in basic repairs and maintenance
• Strong awareness of health and safety
• Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to be a keyholder and respond to out-of-hours emergencies if required

Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Child DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 references.
