Global Workplace Solutions is a division of CBRE providing integrated solutions across large multi-discipline property portfolios. We provide a full range of building maintenance services to 7,000 buildings in the UK, supporting our main client BT.
Responsibilities- Ensure all test equipment is calibrated, properly maintained and meets current regulations.
- Ensure all PPE is in good condition and used where appropriate.
- Familiarity with operational safety and associated regulations, particularly for pressure, water and gas systems.
- Be aware of all relevant risk assessments and ensure dynamic risk assessments are undertaken prior to any work task.
- Carry out a daily building walk to report and rectify faults within SLA, maintaining the building’s condition.
- Diagnose and fix a variety of building maintenance issues.
- Record all work activities, reactive and corrective jobs accurately.
- Review and submit updates for asset data on the CMMS using the mobile tool provided.
- Promote and maintain the core values of CBRE at all times.
- Liaise with the Helpdesk to ensure the appropriate response to planned and reactive tasks.
- Support the CBRE team and BT customer, ensuring the site remains compliant with current health & safety legislation.
- Undertake the appropriate Control of Works authorised person training and role, and support identification of other relevant authorised persons and competent persons within the cluster.
- Participate in an emergency call‑out service as required in accordance with the out‑of‑hours rota.
- Other relevant duties consistent with general CBRE service delivery requirements as directed by line management.
- Produce reports as required for the AOM.
- Maintain stock levels of spares as required.
- Technical training (NVQ3 or equivalent) in more than one discipline (AC, plumbing, mechanical, gas, etc.).
- Must hold a City and Guilds Level 3 technical certificate or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
- Must hold a City and Guilds 2382 Level 3 certificate in the requirements for electrical installations BS 7671 (18th Edition) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in facilities management.
- Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high‑pressure, business‑critical environments.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical delivery for client satisfaction.
- High degree of knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Puts customer and team needs first; always considers impact of actions on customer and team.
