Pasting Belt Operator

Join our team as a Pasting Operator and play a key role in producing high-quality wafer products.

In our factory in Merthyr Tydfil, we produce and pack up to 50 tons of wafer, marshmallow bars, toffees and eclairs per day on a large variety of production and packaging lines and machines. You’ll be involved in setting up and operating pasting belts, carrying out quality checks, supporting smooth product changeovers, and working closely with other departments to keep production running efficiently.

With full training provided and opportunities to develop a wide range of technical skills, this role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, attention to detail, and doing the job right.

• Operate all pasting belts and follow quality, safety, and legal standards.
• Inspect products and complete all required documentation accurately.
• Set up equipment according to specifications and adjust settings as needed.
• Carry out product changeovers, cleaning tasks, and equipment strip‑downs.
• Communicate effectively with the Cream Floor, Key Operator, and Oven Operator.
• Perform quality checks and resolve basic operational issues.
• Maintain a clean working environment, following “clean‑as‑you‑go” principles.
• Support and train new staff and participate in required training.

• Strong communication, numeracy, and literacy skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
• Previous experience in a hygiene role.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
