Slaughter Operative

We are looking for Slaughter Operatives.

Immediate starts available.

£12.40 – £16.46 per hour depending on experience; overtime at time and a half after 48 hours.

Location:

Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 05:30/06:00 finish, average 45‑hour week.

Temp to perm after 12 weeks.

Our client, based in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil, is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Slaughter Operatives. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment, ideal for those who take pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

• Slaughtering, dressing and preparation of carcasses and edible offal at line speed.
• Handling and processing carcasses with care and precision.
• Supporting skilled operatives in the production process.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workplace at all times.
• Following strict health, safety and animal welfare guidelines.

• Competence and significant experience in slaughter and/or knife skills preferred.
• Previous experience in a high‑volume meat processing environment.
• Commitment to good practice and quality.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Own transport due to location of site.
