Contek recruitment are working on behalf of our client who are a world-leading manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) and who are renowned for producing bodies, chassis, and bin lifts primarily for the waste management industry. Based in the UK and part of the Terberg Environmental Group, Dennis Eagle boasts over 100 years of heritage in delivering safe, reliable, and ergonomic vehicles.

The role offers a competitive salary between £47,304.75 - £48,304.75 per annum, dependent on experience, with a 45-hour work week from 07:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and support workshop personnel, ensuring efficient planning and workflow.
- Communicate directly with customers, preparing quotes and keeping them updated on progress.
- Plan, oversee, and sign off jobs, maintaining accurate documentation and real-time invoicing.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles and specialist equipment in line with DVSA and roadworthiness standards.
- Ensure compliance, safety, and high housekeeping standards across the workshop.

Skills, Experience, and

Education:

Communication:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to prepare quotes and provide updates.

Knowledge/Expertise:
- Strong experience in maintenance and repair within a workshop environment, particularly with RCVs or similar.
- Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification (or equivalent) and a current PLG licence.

Innovation:
- Solid diagnostic ability and confidence reading wiring diagrams.
- Good understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and workshop documentation.

Business Impact:
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work overtime when required.

Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
- Lead by example in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture.
