Are you an experienced Hydraulic Test Technician with a strong background in hydraulics and assembly testing? We are recruiting on behalf of a respected engineering manufacturer seeking a skilled Senior Hydraulic Test Technician to join their established production team.
About the Role:
This hands-on role involves creating and proving test procedures from hydraulic circuit diagrams, overseeing hydraulic function testing, and supporting the assembly process. You'll play a key part in ensuring all products meet technical and quality standards before they reach the customer.
Benefits:
- Salary: up to £45,000 depending on experience
- Hours of work - 8:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 16:00 Friday - 36.5 hours

Key Responsibilities:
- Produce written hydraulic test procedures from circuit diagrams.
- Conduct high-pressure function and pressure testing on manifold assemblies.
- Oversee and support other test technicians to ensure accurate and safe testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test-related issues in real time.
- Carry out quality checks and sign off pressure tests and certificates of conformity.
- Assist with general assembly and light warehouse duties when needed.
- Maintain and order test equipment as required.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of hydraulic principles and the ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams.
- Previous experience in hydraulic testing or similar assembly/testing environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude with experience using gauges, hoses, valves, and couplings.
- Competent in using systems like Sage 200 (preferred).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work methodically and safely within ISO
9001:2008 quality standards.
Desirable:
- HNC/HND in engineering or relevant qualifications.
- NFPC training or courses.
- Forklift licence or experience using lifting/slinging equipment.
- Full UK driving licence.
