The role provides leadership and direction to Team Leaders, Electrical Testers and Electrical Fitters, ensuring production targets, quality standards, customer requirements, and project milestones are achieved. The Electrical Production Supervisor is accountable for driving operational performance, resource utilisation, workforce capability, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Electrical Production department.

This role acts as a key link between Production Management, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects in line with Marshall Land Systems standards and customer expectations.

Your responsibilities in this role include:
Production Leadership & Supervision
  • Lead, manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of Electrical Production teams
  • Provide direction and support to Team Leaders, ensuring effective allocation of labour, skills, and resources
  • Monitor production progress against schedules and take corrective action where required to maintain delivery commitments
  • Ensure production activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with business priorities
  • Resolve operational challenges and elevate significant risks or issues to the Electrical Production Manager
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture across all Electrical Production areas
Production Planning & Delivery
  • Support the development and execution of production schedules in line with project and business requirements
  • Coordinate labour allocation to maximise productivity and resource utilisation
  • Monitor build progress and performance metrics to ensure project milestones and customer delivery dates are achieved
  • Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Project teams to minimise disruption to production activities
  • Identify and mitigate production risks that may impact cost, quality, or delivery performance
  • Drive adherence to production processes, standard work instructions, and manufacturing best practices
People Management & Development
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Team Leaders and production personnel
  • Conduct performance reviews and regular one-to-one meetings in line with company procedures
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning activities within the department
  • Identify skills gaps and implement development plans to improve team capability and flexibility
  • Manage attendance, disciplinary matters, and employee relations issues in accordance with company policies
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, engagement, and continuous learning
Technical & Operational Oversight
  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex electrical build, installation, testing and fault-finding activities
  • Ensure teams can effectively interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Support the resolution of production and quality issues through structured problem‑solving techniques
  • Ensure compliance with Marshall Electrical Standardisation, engineering requirements and customer specifications
  • Liaise with Engineering and Quality teams to address design, manufacturability, and production concerns
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure all electrical manufacturing, installation and testing activities comply with BS 7671, IPC‑A‑620 requirements, customer standards and internal procedures
