Do you enjoy organising and have a passion for pets? As a Stock Processor Volunteer, you’ll be essential in supporting our shops and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Your efforts are crucial to our success, and we’d be thrilled to welcome you as a volunteer to see the difference you can make.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for sorting and preparing donations, ensuring each item is ready for sale in our shop. You’ll keep our stockroom well‑organised and efficient, making it easy to find and manage items.

We’re looking for someone with strong sorting skills, attention to detail to uphold high standards, and the ability to handle lifting and carrying items comfortably. A friendly and cooperative spirit is essential for working well with others and positively impacting our team environment.

Volunteering with us offers you a chance to support pet welfare by helping raise vital funds for their care. You’ll develop valuable skills in organisation and time management while being part of a dedicated team. Gain hands‑on experience in retail operations and stock management and feel proud knowing your efforts contribute to a meaningful cause. Comprehensive training will be provided.

What you will be doing
  • Sort donations for sale, selecting only the best pre‑loved items to make it to the shop floor
  • Prepare donations – ensure all donated goods are clean, tidy, intact, and work as they should
  • Price donations – use our pricing system to give each item a clear price ready to be sold
  • Organise the stockroom – keep stockroom well‑organised and efficient, making it easy to find and manage items
The skills you need
  • Strong sorting skills to categorise and prepare donations
  • Attention to detail, handling tasks carefully to maintain high standards
  • Comfortable with lifting and carrying items
  • A friendly and cooperative spirit to support others and contribute to a great team environment
