Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Merthyr Tydfil, Merthyr Tydfil. The role is a permanent part‑time position working a minimum of 8 hours over 2 days per week across weekdays and weekends. Availability required: weekday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Pay depends on age:

• Ages 16‑20: £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

• Help customers find items they are looking for
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers
• Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

• Enjoy being busy and flexible across a range of tasks (deliveries, till, shop floor, cleaning, stock rotation)
• Reliability and dependability as an important part of a small team
• A bit of flexibility with shifts – rota planned three weeks in advance, with consideration for personal commitments
