Carry out detailed assessments and provide direct support to children and families involved in Child Protection, Child in Need, and Court proceedings.

Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk cases, meeting statutory requirements and delivering best practice interventions.

Lead investigations into allegations of abuse, ensuring robust safety planning and timely actions to keep children safe.

Work closely with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated, effective safeguarding responses.

Build meaningful, trust-based relationships with children and families using a strengths-based, restorative practice approach.

Prepare high-quality reports, care plans, and court documentation, and represent the local authority in family court.

Promote inclusion, cultural awareness, and anti-discriminatory practice in all work.

Degree or diploma in Social Work (or equivalent).

Registration with Social Work England
.

Experience with in statutory children’s social care, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.

Understanding or willingness to learn the Signs of Safety practice model.

Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
