Administrative Assistant I – America Building America Grant, Main Street Campus, 1601 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201. Working M-F 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Position SummaryThe Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support for the America Building America grant program. The role supports compliance, coordination, and efficient workflow across all grant activities, including employer engagement, apprenticeship support, and partnership development. Ideal candidates are comfortable working with organizations in the industrial trades sector—including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, aviation mechanics, and semiconductor manufacturing—and demonstrate strong administrative professionalism.

Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt, 12‑Month Calendar
Salary$22.73 – $28.64 per hour. Placement within the range will be based on a combination of education, industry‑related experience, teaching experience, and certification.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of administrative support experience, preferably in workforce development, education, or a grant‑funded environment.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Education, Finance, or related field.
- Experience supporting federally or state‑funded grant programs.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship programs, CTE pathways, or industrial trade workforce initiatives.
- Familiarity with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, aviation, or semiconductor manufacturing trades.
- Experience coordinating multi‑region or statewide projects.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or data‑tracking tools.
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
- Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella for those born after January 1, 1957.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
