Special Education Teacher in Mesa, AZ

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-semester assignment offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 school located in Mesa, AZ. The role requires delivering specialized instruction and support to a resource caseload of approximately 20 students, helping them access and succeed in their education. The position runs from early January through late May, adhering to the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within the resource setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid Arizona certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a special education resource setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students effectively.

Location:

• Mesa, Arizona, serving one school within the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 33 hours per week (7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday following the school calendar.

  January 5, 2026, to May 21, 2026.
