Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an experienced or senior level Radar Cross Section Engineer supporting design, manufacturing, and test engineering to join the team in Mesa, AZ. The successful candidate should have an extensive knowledge of electromagnetic theory, low‑observable design, and manufacturing techniques; knowledge of low‑observable materials and manufacturing processes; and experience with test and verification processes.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and validate requirements for component specifications
• Document manufacturing and test processes
• Validate manufacturing and test processes for consistent results
• Develop engineering support for fabrication
• Serve as liaison between multiple functions
• Work under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). A U.S. security clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor, master, or doctorate of science degree from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
• 9+ years of work‑related engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience with radar cross‑section design and test

Typical Education/Experience

Level 4:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., bachelor), and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years’ related work experience or master + 7 years’ related work experience). ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

Level 5:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., bachelor), and typically 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience or non‑US equivalent qualifications. ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay

Summary pay range:
Level 4: $129,200 – $174,800
Summary pay range:
Level 5: $154,700 – $209,300
