Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
Responsibilities- Design high-speed digital circuits, including schematic capture and PCB layout specifications
- Partner with FPGA firmware engineers on electronics, sensors, and actuation systems
- Lead prototype testing, integration, and design verification/validation activities
- Perform worst-case analysis, signal integrity, and power dissipation studies
- Collaborate across disciplines to define product requirements and deliver technical presentations
- Develop test benches and simulations using tools such as Questa/Model Sim
- Document designs, analyses, and results in clear, concise reports
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- 6-9+ years of experience in electronics design and development
- 3-5+ years working with modern microprocessors/DSPs, FPGA, memory, A/D and D/A converters, and communication links
- Strong experience in PCB design and layout
- Hands‑on experience with lab troubleshooting, board bring‑up, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration
- Expertise in worst‑case analysis, timing, signal integrity, and test coverage
- Proficiency in board design/layout tools and digital simulation (e.g., Questa/Model Sim)
- Strong communication skills and ability to produce technical documentation
- Experience with any of the following would be ideal:
Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics (Siemens Xpedition/PADS) for PCB layout and schematic capture
- VHDL/Verilog coding experience
- Background in highly regulated Electronics design and development
- Experience in highly regulated environments such as aerospace, defense, medical devices, or consumer electronics
