Bridgecrest services roughly $17 billion in finance receivables for Drive Time and other third parties. We service auto loans across a wide credit spectrum with the intent of creating a strong path to vehicle ownership for our customers.
** Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)
** This position involves extensive skip tracing to locate assets that are assigned for repossession. In all cases, the asset being located involves a defaulted loan where the specialist is attempting to secure the collateral with recovery efforts.
* Review and assign accounts for recovery based on defined business criteria to mitigate risk and legal exposure by validating lien status
* Make outbound phone calls as necessary to obtain details on vehicle location to aid recovery of asset
* Locate borrowers and/or company assets by aggregating skip tracing data (account notes, skip tracing tools, phone calls, vendor updates, etc.)
* Provide updates to recovery vendors to ensure effective recovery of collateral using newly sourced information
* Initiate legal process when access to a located vehicle is blocked or customer is violent towards recovery vendor and defined business criteria are met

* Knowledge of collection policies/procedures including skip tracing and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and local state repossession law
* Self-motivated with critical decision-making capabilities; ability to self-start
* Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner
* Strong knowledge of skip tracing process, skip tool products, repo vendor operations and internal process flows
** Requirements (a.k.a. What You Need to Get the Job Done)
*** High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
* Experience with Microsoft Office such as Excel, Outlook and Word
* 2+ years of experience in loss mitigation and/or skip tracing
* Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business or related field may be used as a proxy for experience
