Gateway Bank AZ is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our team. Duties include managing an existing portfolio of commercial loans, focusing on client relationships, loan covenant management, handling annual reviews, financial analysis, and loan renewals/extensions. The right candidate will have the skills necessary to collaborate with lenders on underwriting, loan documentation, and identifying opportunities to grow the portfolio.

Note:

This is an on-site position. To be considered, you must be in the Phoenix metro area or willing to relocate.

Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of loans assigned to you, as well as assist with managing the entire loan portfolio.
  • Monitor loan performance, track covenants, manage past‑due items, and assess client/industry risks, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.
  • Serve as a contact for customers, manage relationship continuity, and identify cross‑selling opportunities for other bank products.
  • Analyze financial statements, prepare credit memos, and support lenders with credit requests and due diligence.
  • Ensure adherence to all State and Federal regulations, bank policies, and loan documentation standards.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 2-3 years working for a commercial bank.
  • Strong background in credit analysis, commercial banking, and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of credit risk and loan documentation.
