Lead Medical Assistant – Pediatric Gastroenterology
Location:

Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric Gastroenterology team. The role provides floor leadership, patient care, staff supervision, credential maintenance, and cross‑department collaboration in a dynamic pediatric specialty environment.
Minimum Qualifications- Certification: RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) through AMT or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) through AAMA – no other certifications accepted.
- BLS Certification:
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. - Education:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or possession of MA certification from AAMA or AMT). - Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare and/or pediatric setting.
- Provide floor leadership and manage appointment scheduling, room oversight, and staffing assignment.
- Lead daily huddles and facilitate effective clinical and service operations.
- Assist with direct patient care and perform duties of a Medical Assistant as needed.
- Oversee staff competency, monitor scope of practice, and report concerns.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and diagnostic test regulations; conduct quality audits.
- Maintain credentials, attend conferences, and support educational growth.
- Collaborate with other leads, managers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested.
