Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (includes; employment, criminal and education) is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for 2 Ultrasound certifications.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Performs all exams by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Adheres to established protocols and provides all pertinent patient information utilized by Radiologist for complete dictation. Uses independent judgement and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for all ultrasound exams. Scanning competencies should include all patient ages, acuity levels and classes, independently and without quality issues. Performs problem solving, triages orders and effectively communicates findings with Radiologist.

Produces efficient images with high quality output. Performs ultrasound guided procedures and works closely with radiologist or provider.

Educates patients and families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct in all interactions. Fosters teamwork, ensures efficient use of resources and advocates for quality patient outcomes which aid in diagnosis and care plan.

Serves as a subject matter expert within their 2 registries. May present at team meetings and/or participate in other opportunities to improve quality. Performs quality control checks on images and equipment as requested.

Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Performs troubleshooting as needed and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Facilitates and follows up on repairs and maintenance as needed on equipment and supplies.

Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies. Consistently documents findings in a professional and clear manner. Follows standardized protocols without variation. Captures high quality images in the standardized format. Ensures patient questions are answered in a timely manner.
