Job Summary
Evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. Develops individualized plans of care and delivers therapeutic interventions. Educates patients and caregivers and collaborates with the care team.
Education & Experience- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program:
Required - Clinical experience in a healthcare setting:
Preferred
- Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state of practice, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP):
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:
Required
- Perform speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing evaluations.
- Establish individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
- Provide therapy for communication and swallowing disorders.
- Recommend diet textures and swallowing strategies based on evaluation findings.
- Educate patients, families and staff on communication and swallowing techniques.
- Document evaluations, treatments and progress accurately.
