Overview

The Room Attendant maintains clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.

Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
  • Complete pre-cleaning duties, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
  • Remove trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
  • Keep hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for the next day.
  • Replenish chemical bottles.
  • Report missing items from rooms (e.g., irons, hair dryers) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Report maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Qualifications
    • High School diploma or equivalent and/or hotel or related field experience preferred.
    • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
    • Ability to stand throughout the shift.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
