What You Will Be DoingAn Albertsons IT Repair Technician II is a vital role in any organization that relies on technology. You will follow scripts to configure PCs and hardware, package the equipment, and prepare for deployment. You will work with cutting‑edge technology, solve challenging problems, help people and our business achieve their goals, and grow professionally in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. The position will be based in Tempe, AZ.
MainResponsibilities
- Receives and processes End of Life Technology
- Imaging, configuration, and personalization of computer systems
- Accountable for hardware/asset tracking
- Regular operation of a forklift and manual or electric pallet jack, frequently moving pallets of IT equipment around the warehouse
- Ensures cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency in the warehouse
- Follows and aids in improving policies and procedures
- High school graduate; AA/AS/BA/BS degree preferred or 1+ years technical/training/hardware certifications preferred
- 1+ years retail business experience preferred
- 1+ years’ experience with retail store systems, technology systems, and hardware preferred
- 1+ years’ experience with installation and configuration of desktop and peripheral technology preferred
- Excellent telephone, customer service, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of IT hardware, installation models, Windows, MS Office, and related applications
- iOS and Android knowledge
- Self‑checkout experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow written/verbal instructions, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a strong collaborative partner in a matrixed organization
- Demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products under minimal supervision
- Understanding of how hardware/software systems inter‑relate
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs
- Must have a good, safe driving record and a vehicle
- Solid mechanical skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, evening and overnight; primarily scheduled M‑F, with occasional Sunday evenings
- Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability, and follow‑through
