About Cyber DiveCyber Dive builds safety‑first technology for young people and vulnerable communities. Our products combine thoughtful UX, privacy‑first engineering, and guardrails that help families and organizations create healthier digital environments, without turning the product into a control panel that nobody wants to use. We’re building across mobile + web dashboards + OS‑integrated experiences, and we’re looking for a senior designer who wants ownership, complexity, and impact.
Whatthis role is
This is a senior design role for someone who can shape an entire experience end‑to‑end, from early discovery through polished UI, handoff, and iteration. You’ll lead design for core product workflows across mobile and web, and you’ll be responsible for raising design quality across the company. You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy and work closely with engineering and product leadership.
This role will start as a single‑person team, executing across product UX, UI, and design systems end‑to‑end, with high ownership over what gets shipped.
- Own end‑to‑end UX/UI for major features across web dashboards and mobile flows.
- Translate ambiguous goals into clear user journeys, IA, and interaction patterns.
- Run lightweight user research (interviews, usability tests) and turn insights into decisions.
- Build and evolve a design system in Figma (components, variants, patterns).
- Deliver polished, production‑ready UI that engineers can ship quickly.
- Partner with engineering to ensure design fidelity and realistic implementation.
- Champion accessibility, trust, and clarity—especially for sensitive workflows.
- Document decisions and create artifacts that help the team move faster.
- Mentor and raise the bar for design craft through critique and standards.
- Partner with Marketing to design high‑converting web experiences—landing pages, onboarding/checkout flows, promotional banners, and lifecycle pages—ensuring consistent brand and UX quality.
- Design for multiple audiences with different needs and emotional contexts—children, parents/guardians, internal operators, and partner organizations—adapting tone, clarity, and interaction patterns accordingly.
How Success Is Measured High‑Quality Shipped Design Work
- The product feels premium, intuitive, and consistent—engineers are not blocked.
- A component library and interaction patterns that accelerate velocity and reduce rework.
- Design decisions are grounded in evidence, research, and deep empathy for real users.
- 4+ years of product design experience (or equivalent).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped work across UX + UI.
- Experience designing for SaaS dashboards or admin portals.
- Experience designing for mobile apps (iOS/Android).
- Strong craft: typography, spacing, layout, hierarchy, interaction detail.
- Fluent in Figma and modern design workflows.
- Can communicate decisions clearly and influence cross‑functional partners.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and high ownership.
- Passion for building products rooted in trust, safety, and usability.
- Demonstrated ability to design for multiple user types with different goals, literacy levels, and emotional states (e.g., children vs. adults, internal vs. external users).
- Experience in trust & safety, privacy, security, or regulated products.
- Experience building or maintaining design systems.
- Experience working in startup environments.
- Experience with analytics‑driven iteration or experiments.
This is a foundational design role. You’ll shape experiences that people rely on for safety, transparency, and peace of mind. Your work won’t just make things look nicer—it will help people feel confident, informed, and supported.
