Key Job Responsibilities- Work as part of the Operations team to maintain and support the data center infrastructure.
- Install, remove, and repair server racks, IT hardware, network components, and respond to emergent situations that affect operations.
- Meet customer service level agreements by resolving problems and serve as first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
- Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities that require monitoring of the data center infrastructure.
- Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and to discuss achieving daily/weekly goals.
- Understand and apply policies and procedures, including safety and security, within the department.
- Contribute to documentation on operational issues through root‑cause analysis and support process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced team members as needed.
- Support Data Center infrastructure equipment such as racks, servers, networking devices, hardware components, cables, etc.
- Follow ticket‑based instructions to perform systematic problem resolution and routine operation activities on hardware or spare parts.
- Perform on‑call duties and participate in Data Center operations, including scheduled maintenance and change management.
- Show strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Engage in site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas (5S).
- Work rotating shifts with a team of other engineers (10‑hour shifts with 1‑hour break, 4 days work / 3 days off).
- Standard work hours are 8:00‑18:00, 12:00‑22:00, or 21:45‑08:15.

Basic Qualifications- Experience troubleshooting hardware and network equipment in a data center environment.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and perform first‑line support for hardware issues.
- Understanding of maintenance windows and change management.
- Strong communication skills in English;
Japanese language skills are desirable. - Experience with ticketing systems and escalation procedures.
- Lincensed network or server certifications (e.g., RHCSA, CCNA) and scripting skills (Bash, Python) are a plus.
- BA/BS in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Problem management ticket tracking, escalation procedures, and on‑site data center facilities experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of maintenance windows and change management.
- Communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Linux/networking certifications (RHCSA, CCNA, or equivalent) and scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
