Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a Technical Support Representative to provide customer-facing support for advanced hardware, software, networking, and connected technology solutions.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in Linux, networking, technical troubleshooting, and customer support. You will investigate technical issues, troubleshoot system and network connectivity, support hardware and software configurations, and work with customers and internal technical teams to resolve problems.

Previous experience with drones, RF, radar, or detection technology is not required. Candidates with strong Linux and networking fundamentals who are comfortable learning new technologies are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network-connected systems.

Troubleshoot Linux-based systems using command-line tools.

Diagnose network connectivity, configuration, and device communication issues.

Troubleshoot routers, connected hardware, sensors, and integrated technologies.

Investigate customer-reported technical issues and see them through resolution.

Assist with system setup, configuration, and connectivity.

Manage and prioritize multiple technical support cases.

Document issues, troubleshooting steps, configurations, and resolutions.

Escalate complex issues to technical support or development teams when appropriate.

Work with internal teams to identify root causes of recurring technical issues.

Communicate technical concepts and troubleshooting steps to technical and non-technical customers.

Participate in evening, weekend, or on-call support coverage as needed.

Qualifications3+ years of experience in technical support, IT support, help desk, network support, systems support, or a similar role.

Hands-on experience working with Linux operating systems.

Comfortable using the Linux command line.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.

Experience troubleshooting network-connected hardware, routers, endpoints, or similar devices.

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Previous customer-facing technical support experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.

Ability to manage multiple open issues while maintaining accurate documentation.

Strong ownership and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications Router configuration or administration experience.

Experience with cloud-connected or remotely managed devices.

Experience troubleshooting hardware/software integrations.

Exposure to RF, radar, wireless technologies, sensors, drones/UAVs, or similar technology is a plus, but not required.

Previous experience supporting public safety, government, military, security, or other mission-critical environments is a plus.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
