CNC Lathe Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to exact specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
• Follow all safety and quality protocols.

• Experience in lathe setup and operation, especially with dual spindle CNC lathes.
• Proficiency in Fanuc controls and CAD/CAM programming.
• Ability to hold a tolerance of +/- 2/100ths.
• Experience working with hardened metals such as Inconel and Titanium.
• Strong blueprint reading and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with grinding.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T.
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming (experience with both Fanuc and Haas controls is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with multi-axis lathes or live tooling is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mesa, AZ.
