Job Title:
3 to 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 3 to 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our production of complex parts with tight tolerances.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate 3 to 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and part quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tool changes, and production logs.
- Collaborate with engineers and programmers to optimize machining processes.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Proficiency with 5-axis milling setup and operation.
- Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls.
- Ability to machine materials such as Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel.
- Proficiency with G-code and CNC programming.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on CNC milling machines.
- Experience with CAM software is a plus.
- Familiarity with Haas and Method Machine CNC machines.
- Experience in aerospace, medical device, firearms, or automotive manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
