- - Responsibilities:
Clean and inspect mill stands and guides that are returned to the shop from the mill floor;
Conduct thorough inspection of mill stands, guides and all associated equipment per drawings and standards;
Make repairs to mill stands and guiding equipment using blueprints;
Operate robots to replace mill stand rolls with next set for production;
Prepare guides for upcoming product rollings;
Set up mill stands for use in the mill;
Open work orders and print documents in QMOS;
Adjust stand build ups based on QMOS and scheduling;
Order parts and maintain spare parts inventory in Roll Shop (SAP);
Assist Roll Turners with prioritizing roll redressing and rolling cycles;
Maintain organized, clean working area;
Provide safety program participation and uphold safety culture;
Prepare equipment to meet upcoming operational needs
