Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually
Position Summary: The Partnership & Social Media Specialist supports Visit Mesa's Partnership Program and consumer marketing efforts by coordinating partner engagement, fulfilling partnership benefits, and creating and supporting social media content. This partner-facing role helps ensure a consistent, high-quality partner experience through timely communication, organized execution of contracted deliverables, and in-market content capture.
Working closely with the Director, Destination Experience and Content Marketing Manager, the Specialist serves as a key connector between Visit Mesa partners and internal teams while contributing to Visit Mesa's content pipeline and destination storytelling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Engagement & Supports
- Conduct regular in-market visits with partners based on partnership team priorities.
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for assigned partner questions, requests, and follow-up, escalating strategic, sensitive, or revenue-related matters to the Director, Destination Experience as appropriate.
- Share relevant Visit Mesa updates, gather partner feedback, and identify opportunities, needs, and potential concerns.
- Manage assigned partner renewals, including outreach, follow-up, presentation of partnership performance, and identification of appropriate upsell opportunities that increase partner value and revenue.
- Maintain accurate records of partner interactions, requests, and follow-up items in the CRM.
- Support partner onboarding, orientations, and training, conducted in person or virtually, by preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and following up on next steps.
- Help strengthen partner satisfaction and retention through consistent communication and responsive support.
Partnership Deliverables & Fulfillment
- Coordinate and track contracted partnership benefits and deliverables to help ensure accurate, timely fulfillment.
- Maintain deliverable timelines, status updates, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, creative, and communications, to facilitate partner benefits and confirm expectations.
- Serve as a liaison between assigned partners and internal teams regarding deliverable details, deadlines, and required materials.
- Assist with preparing partner updates and supporting materials that communicate the value and results of Visit Mesa partnership benefits.
- Identify potential fulfillment gaps or delays and communicate them promptly to the Director, Destination Experience.
Content Capture & Social Media Support
- Capture photo and video content during partner visits, events, and destination experiences for use across Visit Mesa marketing channels.
- Assist with the development of partner-focused content that highlights Mesa businesses, experiences, events, and destination offerings.
- Support social media execution by drafting and scheduling posts, monitoring comments and messages, and engaging with audiences in alignment with Visit Mesa's voice and established guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Content Marketing Manager to ensure partner-related content aligns with the content calendar, campaign priorities, and brand standards.
- Organize and maintain content assets, permissions, and relevant partner information for efficient future use.
- Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, and community engagement opportunities, sharing relevant ideas with the marketing team.
Community Outreach & Cross-Functional Support
- Represent Visit Mesa professionally at partner meetings, partnership events, community events, and relevant industry functions.
- Support partnership events, outreach activities, and initiatives that promote partner engagement and revenue growth.
- Assist with special projects and other department needs as assigned.
- Help maintain the visitor center and answer incoming phone calls as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Tourism, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, digital communications, or a related field.
