RN FT Behavioral Health
Agave Ridge Behavioral Hospital is a 100‑bed acute care psychiatric facility in East Mesa, AZ, providing comprehensive inpatient behavioral health services to adults, including treatment for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other acute behavioral health disorders.
Job DescriptionRN FT – Days and Night Shift – 12 hour shifts.
Location:
Agave Ridge Behavioral Health – Mesa, AZ.

- Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
- Provide nursing care within scope of practice as defined by the state Nurse Practice Act, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately.
- Assess patients’ status continuously and document pertinent information.
- Notify physicians of significant changes such as detox difficulties, medical emergencies, or medication response challenges.
- Complete initial nursing treatment plans upon admission, specific to assessed needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge and use of universal precautions in direct patient care.
- Accurately administer medications per ordered note.
- Document accurate count of controlled substance medication administration.
- Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
- Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Provide direction or coordinate unit activities as directed.
- Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, co‑workers, and others involved in inpatient treatment.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN license required by the state of employment or eligible to practice nursing.
- One year of nursing experience (previous psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse nursing experience is a plus).
- CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
