Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. Registry/Per Diem positions are utilized as needed within our facilities. When working Per Diem you must work at least 2 shifts a month.
As a BSS RN, you will be eligible for the Banner Bedside Commitment opportunities (formerly Banner Travel). Banner Staffing RNs can pick up 8, 10, or 13 week commitments at a wide variety of Banner facilities in the following states:

The Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. Completion of post‑offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (includes employment, criminal and education history) are required.
Unit OverviewThe General Medical Surgical PCU unit at Del Webb is a 21‑bed unit serving a population of ortho/trauma/overflow patients. As the RN in this position, you will self‑schedule for one shift per week. We have positions on both day and night shift, 7‑7. You may be floated within our service line, at Del Webb only, to all PCU and Observation units, and ED if needed to task only.

Position SummaryThis position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. It is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by the RN and others under their direction.
Core Functions- Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family, ensuring completion within appropriate timeframe.
- Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient‑specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care.
- Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress toward goals and expected outcomes with other health care team members.
- Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy.
- Provides care based on best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice; participates in unit or facility shared leadership.
- Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts; provides spiritual support and prioritizes data from multiple sources.
